Oppo Put an 8,000mAh Battery and IP69K Durability in a Sub-$300 Phone
Oppo introduced the K15s and K15x in China, pairing MediaTek Dimensity chips with large batteries, fast charging, and high ingress protection ratings.

Oppo expanded its budget smartphone portfolio in China with the launch of the Oppo K15s and Oppo K15x. Both devices prioritize battery endurance and durability while using familiar hardware configurations from Oppo's broader catalog.
Oppo K15s: 8,000mAh Battery and Four Ingress Ratings
The Oppo K15s is built around an 8,000mAh battery that supports 45W SuperVOOC and UFCS fast charging. Oppo claims the battery maintains at least 80% capacity after 2,000 charge cycles, representing roughly seven years of simulated use. Thermal management is handled by a 4,300mm² vapor chamber cooling system.
Ingress protection is a key focus. The phone is certified across IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust, high-pressure water jets, and steam cleaning. Oppo also put the device through 15 military-grade environmental test certifications under the GJB150A-2009 standard.
The display is a 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2372x1080 resolution. It runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Max processor with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Imaging is handled by a 50MP primary rear camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. Reporting notes that the K15s is a rebadged version of the previously launched Oppo A7 Pro.
Oppo K15x: Dimensity 6300 and 6,500mAh Battery
The lower-tier Oppo K15x shares core hardware with the Oppo K14, pairing a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It carries a 6.75-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Power comes from a 6,500mAh battery (rated at 6,335mAh) that also supports 45W SuperVOOC charging. The K15x features an IP64 dust- and splash-resistance rating, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP selfie camera, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and expandable storage.
