Oppo F35 Pro Hands-On: An 8,000mAh Battery With an Unexpected Catch
Oppo packed an 8,000mAh battery and quad-level ingress ratings into the F35 Pro 5G, but early hands-on impressions reveal key display limits.

Oppo launched the F35 Pro 5G in India on October 5, 2026, alongside the standard F35 5G, marking a decade of the F series. The device focuses heavily on battery endurance and physical resilience, featuring an 8,000mAh cell and a multi-tier ingress protection package covering IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications.
Display Capabilities and the 144Hz Restriction
The F35 Pro features a 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel at 2772x1272 resolution, reaching up to 3,600 nits peak brightness, 1,800 nits in high brightness mode, and 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. While Oppo advertises a 144Hz refresh rate, hands-on testing by GSMArena revealed an important operational limit: the 144Hz mode functions only in select whitelisted games, dropping back to standard rates across the core ColorOS interface and everyday apps. Oppo has not confirmed whether future software updates will expand 144Hz support system-wide.
Chassis Design and Internal Hardware
Available in Sunrise Orange, Wave Blue, and Twilight Brown, the phone pairs its large battery with a plastic frame and rear panel. Hands-on reports noted that the Sunrise Orange finish uses a matte, wavy pattern that resists smudges, though the optical under-display fingerprint sensor sits low near the bottom bezel, complicating one-handed unlocking.
Internally, the F35 Pro is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 7360 Max processor backed by a 5,000mm² vapor chamber cooling system. Oppo claims this configuration delivers a 30 percent boost in multi-core CPU performance and a 35 percent jump in GPU performance compared to the prior generation. It runs ColorOS 16.5 based on Android 16.
Cameras, Charging, and Availability
The rear camera array includes a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, a 50MP sensor with a 100-degree field of view handles selfies. Both front and rear setups support 4K video recording.
Oppo claims the 8,000mAh battery retains over 80 percent health across 1,800 charge cycles, providing up to six years of durability. Advertised battery metrics include 705.4 hours of standby time, 30.33 hours of WhatsApp calls, and 12.64 hours of BGMI gaming. The retail box includes an 80W SuperVOOC wired charger and a matching protective case.
Open sales in India start October 11, 2026. The F35 Pro starts at Rs 45,999 for the 6GB/128GB model, Rs 49,999 for the 8GB/128GB configuration, and Rs 54,999 for 8GB/256GB.
