Vivo V80 India Launch Set for October 6: Display, Battery, and Price Leaks
Vivo will launch the V80 in India on October 6 with a 7,200mAh battery, a 144Hz OLED screen, and Zeiss-branded cameras.

Vivo has confirmed it will launch the Vivo V80 in India on October 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM IST. The announcement settles earlier market reports that pointed to an October 8 release date. The device will be sold through Flipkart, Amazon, Vivo India's website, and offline retail channels.
Display and Battery Specifications
Vivo has detailed several core hardware specifications ahead of the event. The Vivo V80 features a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1.07 billion colors, 1.25mm bezels, and a claimed local peak brightness of 5,000 nits.
The phone includes a 7,200mAh typical battery capacity (7,015mAh rated) with support for 90W FlashCharge wired charging. Vivo rates the device for up to 14 hours of continuous navigation and up to 39.5 hours of local video playback.
Zeiss Optics and Software
The rear Zeiss-branded camera system includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 700V main sensor with optical image stabilization, alongside a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and up to 100x zoom, and a wide-angle camera. On the front, the phone has a 50-megapixel autofocus camera with a 92-degree field of view.
Software features include more than 30 AI-based creative imaging tools. The phone will ship with Android 17-based OriginOS 7, making it the first V-series model to debut on that version. Confirmed color options are Horizon Blue, Sunrise Anthem, and Stellar Black.
Pricing Leaks and Benchmark Listings
Official pricing remains unannounced until the event, with Vivo stating that prices will be revealed at 12:00 PM on October 6.
Retail leaks suggest a shift into a higher price segment. Tipster Ahsan Kharbai reported an India box MRP of Rs. 1,19,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model, with expected retail pricing above Rs. 60,000. Separate leaks point to retail prices of roughly Rs. 63,000 for 128GB, Rs. 70,000 for 256GB, and Rs. 80,000 for 512GB.
Geekbench 7.1.0 benchmark listings show a Qualcomm SM7750 motherboard, associated with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor, recording scores of 1,070 in single-core and 3,552 in multi-core tests. Vivo has not confirmed the processor. Reports also disagree on whether the phone pairs LPDDR4X RAM with UFS 3.1 storage or uses UFS 4.1 across all configurations. Leaks also claim the phone has an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings.
