A 6,900mAh Battery in a 4.4mm Foldable: Vivo X Fold 6 Makes Its Global Debut
Vivo's book-style flagship brings Android 17, a 200MP Zeiss camera system, and semi-solid-state battery technology to international buyers.

Vivo has officially announced the global launch of the Vivo X Fold 6, bringing its book-style foldable to international markets following its June 2026 debut in China. The international model pairs a slim chassis with silicon-anode battery hardware and the new Android 17-based OriginOS 7 Fold software.
Silicon-Anode Battery and Thin Chassis
The global X Fold 6 features a 6,900mAh BlueVolt battery built with fifth-generation silicon anode and third-generation semi-solid-state technology. While down slightly from the 7,000mAh capacity in the Chinese domestic variant, the cell supports 80W wired FlashCharge, 40W wireless FlashCharge, and reverse wireless charging.
In Prism Black, the foldable measures 4.4mm thick unfolded (9.4mm folded) and weighs 228 grams. The Horizon Blue edition measures 4.8mm unfolded and weighs 235 grams. Both versions include IP58, IP59, IPX8, and IPX9 ingress protection.
LTPO Displays, Dimensity Chipset, and Zeiss Cameras
The inner folding screen is an 8.02-inch 2K+ LTPO AMOLED panel running at 2,504 x 2,312 pixels, while the external cover screen measures 6.51 inches with a 2,528 x 1,120 resolution and a 20.31:9 aspect ratio. Both panels support 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rates and reach up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness.
Under the hood, the device runs on MediaTek's 3nm Dimensity 9500 Super Edition processor, with global materials listing options up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The Zeiss-branded rear camera array includes a 200MP primary sensor with optical image stabilization, a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide shooter. Dual 20MP front-facing cameras sit on the cover and inner displays.
OriginOS 7 Fold Multitasking
The international release ships with OriginOS 7 Fold based on Android 17 out of the box, skipping the OriginOS 6 build used for the Chinese release. Multitasking features center on Origin Workbench, which supports Multi-Split Screen setups for up to four windows.
The software suite also includes AI Cross-App Drag, AI Meeting Assistant, AI File Manager, AI Reader Mode, and the Jovi AI agent. A Desktop Mode via Vivo Office Kit enables users to project an external computer-style workspace onto monitors or TVs.
Pricing and Rollout Timeline
Vivo has not confirmed official retail pricing across all international regions. An initial European retail listing by Italian vendor Epto priced the 12GB + 512GB model at €2,135.90 including VAT (€1,750.74 excluding VAT), alongside tech reports pointing to a €2,199 suggested retail price.
Launch timing remains phased. Industry reports indicate an Indian launch on October 6, 2026, followed by European availability expected on October 27, 2026, alongside the Vivo X500 series. European packaging reports indicate the phone ships with a case, USB-C cable, and SIM tool, omitting the charging brick.
