Xreal Aura Starts at $1,279, but Preordering Right Now Has a Catch
Xreal has opened preorders for its Aura Android XR glasses starting at $1,279, initially limiting purchases to priority reservation holders.

Xreal has confirmed commercial pricing and opened preorders for its Aura spatial computing glasses across four initial markets. Running Google's Android XR operating system, the hardware uses a split-compute architecture pairing optical see-through glasses with an external compute unit.
Reservation Requirement and Rollout Schedule
Preorders are currently restricted to shoppers who previously purchased a $199 refundable priority pass or reservation deposit. Founder Priority Pass holders, capped at 2,000 reservations worldwide, have until October 17, 2026, to finalize configuration and payment to secure an individually numbered Founder's Edition.
Open sales for the broader public will follow in the coming weeks. Deliveries across the first four launch markets—the United States, Canada, Japan, and South Korea—are expected to begin in the fall or holiday season of 2026. Xreal plans to expand into additional international markets in 2027.
Configurations and Regional Pricing
The glasses are available in two storage configurations:
- United States: $1,279 for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage; $1,499 for 16GB RAM and 512GB storage.
- Canada: CAD $1,829 for 256GB; CAD $2,149 for 512GB.
- Japan: ¥229,800 for 256GB; ¥269,800 for 512GB.
- South Korea: ₩1,990,000 for 256GB; ₩2,290,000 for 512GB.
Buyers can choose between two frame sizes: Medium (60–66mm) and Large (66–72mm).
Hardware and Specifications
The eyewear frames weigh less than 95 grams and tether to a pocket-sized unit called the Puck. The puck incorporates a 4,455 mAh battery, an integrated trackpad, and a fingerprint sensor. It runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon Reality Elite chipset, providing access to the Google Play ecosystem and Google Gemini voice controls alongside 6DoF tracking and camera-based hand tracking.
Visuals rely on binocular Sony Micro-OLED displays delivering 1,920 by 1,200 resolution per eye, refresh rates up to 120Hz, a 70-degree diagonal field of view, and electrochromic dimming. Integrated speakers were engineered in partnership with Bose.
"Spatial computing is entering a new phase, and XREAL AURA is designed for this moment," Chi Xu, co-founder and CEO of XREAL, said, highlighting the mix of lightweight see-through optics, Android XR, and Snapdragon processing.
