Vivo Teases X Fold6 and Mixed-Reality Headset for October 6 Event in India

Vivo India has released an official video teaser confirming the vivo X Fold6 and a mixed-reality headset for its upcoming product presentation. Branded as "vivo NEXT 2026," the event is scheduled to stream live on October 6 starting at 12:00 PM IST.

The video published on X showcases the book-style foldable in a Nebula Teal color variant. Vivo's post stated: "The next chapter of innovation is ready to unfold. Get ready to experience what's next. Join us live at vivo NEXT 2026 on 6 October, 12 PM onwards."

Foldable Hardware and Specifications

The vivo X Fold6 originally launched in China on June 26, 2026, followed by an international announcement on October 1. The global model includes an 8.02-inch foldable inner LTPO AMOLED display, a 6.51-inch cover display, a 200-megapixel primary camera sensor, and a 6,900 mAh battery supporting 80W wired and 40W wireless charging.

Software features detailed in Vivo press materials include capabilities powered by the Jovi AI agent, designed to "search and understand materials, generate content, and complete end-to-end office workflows," alongside an AI Reader Mode built for "clean eBook layouts for comfortable long-form reading."

Mixed-Reality Teaser

Visuals of a mixed-reality headset appear alongside the foldable device in the preview video. The hardware is reported to be the vivo Vision Explorer Edition, previously showcased in China, marking the first time Vivo has featured headset hardware in Indian promotional materials.

It remains unconfirmed whether Vivo intends to sell the headset commercially in India or limit its appearance to a hardware demonstration. Official Indian pricing, configurations, and retail availability for the teased devices have not yet been announced.

October 6 Product Lineup

The addition of the X Fold6 and the mixed-reality headset expands an event lineup that already includes local debuts for the vivo V80 and S2 FE smartphones.

The "vivo NEXT 2026" broadcast will air across Vivo India's YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook channels, with promotional collateral citing Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra as a special guest attendee.
