Reviews of the Huawei Watch GT 7 Pro highlight familiar strengths: multi-week battery life, rugged materials, and outdoor tracking refinements. For owners of the Watch GT 6 Pro, however, hardware updates are minimal.

Iterative Design and Hardware

Testing published by GSMArena notes that the GT 7 Pro remains structurally close to its predecessor. The chassis features a titanium alloy case, sapphire glass, a ceramic bezel, and a nanocrystalline ceramic rear panel. The watch body weighs 55.5 grams without straps, measuring 45.6 by 45.6 millimeters with a thickness between 11.25 and 11.3 millimeters.

Its 1.47-inch AMOLED display delivers a 466 by 466 resolution at roughly 317 pixels per inch and reaches up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Cosmetic updates include color-matched bezels—such as Pine Green and Wilderness Yellow options—alongside a modified "tuck-under" EasyCross strap system. Charging hardware remains unchanged, using a 10W wireless puck tethered to a fixed USB-A cable rather than a detachable USB-C design.

Battery Life and Durability

Battery performance remains the device's central selling point. Powered by an 867 mAh cell, the GT 7 Pro is rated for up to 12 days under typical use, extending to 21 days in low-power modes and dropping to seven days with the Always-On Display active. Continuous GPS tracking is rated for up to 51 hours in trail-running mode.

Durability ratings include 5ATM water resistance, an IP69 ingress rating, and an EN13319 dive certification rated to depths of 40 meters.

Software Metrics and Platform Limits

Generational improvements focus primarily on HarmonyOS 6.1 software. Huawei claims its updated positioning algorithm delivers more than a 50% improvement in skiing mode. Internal specifications include 64GB of local storage, Bluetooth 6.0, an onboard loudspeaker, a microphone, and an ECG sensor.

Health tools include Physical Readiness scoring and a physiological Diabetes Risk Study. Review testing emphasizes that the risk feature does not measure blood glucose or offer medical diagnoses, instead tracking physiological patterns over multiple days to surface potential indicators.

Platform parity remains a limitation. Quick messaging replies via voice or the on-screen QWERTY keyboard work solely when paired with Android or Huawei devices, remaining non-functional on iOS.

Launch pricing sits at approximately £379 in the UK, roughly €350 across mainland Europe, ₱13,999 in the Philippines, and RM 1,399 in Malaysia. Reviewers conclude that while the GT 7 Pro is a strong option for those replacing older wearables requiring daily recharges, GT 6 Pro owners have little practical reason to upgrade.
