Independent developers are refusing to clear the runway for Grand Theft Auto 6. Speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, indie studios pushed back against expectations to delay their projects, asking, "Why should we just give up the entire month of November?"

According to Windows Central, Xbox "doesn't even need GTA 6 for November," as the platform reportedly "has something even better" lined up for the month.

According to GamesRadar+, a modder using leaked code to port Grand Theft Auto 5 to the original Nintendo Switch halted the project following developer intervention, stating, "I am thankful for Take-Two's mercy."
